Our Story
The Global Youth Initiative (GYI) was born from the success of the Ottawa Muslim Youth Club (OMYC), founded in June 2023 to create a safe, inclusive, and faith-centered space for young Muslims to connect and grow. Through mentorship workshops, panel discussions, and youth-led initiatives like Ramadan iftars and sports tournaments, OMYC has empowered youth with confidence, skills, and faith-driven values.
Inspired by this impact, we launched GYI to expand beyond Ottawa, offering mentorship, leadership training, and faith-based guidance to young people worldwide. Our mission remains the same: to help the next generation turn ambition into action and purpose into change.
What We Create
From magazines and podcasts to digital products, many of our initiatives are led by the youth of the Ottawa Muslim Youth Club, putting them at the forefront of creativity and leadership.
